Our mission is to help youth unlock their potential, discover their unique abilities, and learn how to contribute meaningfully to the world.
To accomplish this, we aim to nurture individuals who are wise, compassionate, and mindful of how their actions impact others and the planet we share. We strive to cultivate resilience and the ability to be response-abled—equipped to adapt thoughtfully and act wisely in our volatile, unpredictable, ever-changing world.
Central to this mission is the Future Leaders Quest, our flagship programme — a dynamic, 7-session gamified introductory course
set in the imaginary Questlands of Elowyn, offered completely free to young people aged 15 to 26.
Designed to ignite curiosity and inspire further development, the Quest takes participants on an engaging journey, equipping them with the knowledge to access and cultivate the skills and capabilities needed to build fulfilling and successful lives while also contributing meaningfully to a thriving world. To truly achieve this, we know that empowering young people also means inspiring and educating those around them—their families, teachers, and communities. Humans, just like some animals, learn by observing and copying others, but what makes us special is that we can also learn by understanding why something is done. This means that when young people see good examples of leadership, kindness, and creativity in action, they can learn to model those behaviours that best serve humanity and achieve incredible things because of it.
Through a range of transformative learning experiences—starting with an entry-level course and expanding into advanced programmes—we provide holistic education, environmental and social impact projects, and opportunities to create innovative positive impact businesses. Together, we are nurturing a generation of Humans ready to lead with wisdom, compassion, and response-abled to co-create a thriving future for themselves, their communities, and the world.
why was FLP created
The Future Leaders Project was created as a collaborative effort by leading international organisations and thought leaders, all inspired by a shared vision: to empower youth to help our cities thrive in an increasingly complex and ever-changing world.
Convened by Living Cities Earth, this visionary and evolving initiative brings together a growing constellation of pioneering partners committed to transformative change. These organisations unite in their belief that young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow but the changemakers of today, required to be equipped to reshape communities and contribute to a better, more regenerative world.
Recognising the pressing challenges of our times—ranging from environmental crises to social inequalities—the program was designed to provide young people with the tools, knowledge, and wisdom and adaptability needed to address these complexities.
Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
Together, we aim to re-define leadership and what the future requires from us. It acknowledges that traditional education systems often fall short in preparing youth to adequately tackle the multifaceted challenges they face and that a new, holistic approach to learning and leadership development is essential. This program cultivates critical life skills, fosters global citizenship, and encourages innovative thinking to inspire youth to responsibly co-create the future they wish to live into.
Fuelled by the collective expertise and passion of these pioneering organisations, the Future Leaders Project is more than an educational endeavour—it is a call to action for a generation. By nurturing self-awareness, resilience, and collaborative problem-solving, it empowers young individuals to not only envision but actively co-build a world that values inclusivity, regeneration, and collective well-being. Together, this global coalition is committed to fostering a movement where youth are not just participants but catalysts for profound, positive change.
